Yukon Licensed Physicians
Under the authority of the Medical Profession Act, the Yukon Medical Council is responsible for regulating the practice of medicine and medical care provided by 2012-2013 Resident Physicians (
612KB). Please note: Although the Licensed Physicians list is updated regularly, it is for informational purposes only, please contact the Yukon Medical Council for further information.
Health & Social Services is responsible for the recruitment and retainment of qualified Physicians to the Yukon. Please call (867) 393-6980 for information regarding the Clinics (
Walk-in Clinics
- Walk-in clinics are available to patients who do not currently have a regular family physician
- Physicians that work out of the walk-in clinics are licensed physicians who can make referrals, issue prescriptions, and process medical travel applications
Specialists Information
In order to see a specialist in Yukon, you must be referred by a licensed physician, please discuss the possibility of a referral with a physician. This would include your family doctor or a physician working from a walk-in clinic.
Emergencies
If you are located in Whitehorse and in an emergency situation requiring immediate medical attention please attend Whitehorse General Hospital or call 9-1-1 for Emergency Medical Services.
