Professional Corporations

If you are practicing medicine through a corporation your corporation must be registered with Yukon Government Corporate Affairs as well as Yukon Medical Council.  

There are three steps to registering your corporation.

Step 1 Complete the pre-registration confirmation of eligibility form

Yukon Medical Council will review this form to determine if you are eligible for a professional corporation permit. This includes confirming that you are a registered and licensed physician in Yukon. After determining eligibility, Yukon Medical Council informs Corporate Affairs. 

Step 2 Incorporate your company through corporate affairs and send copies of your registration documents to the YMC office.

YMC professional corporation permits expire annually on December 31 – a reminder is sent in November. This is a separate process from your required annual filings with Corporate Affairs.
